Editorial Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

The Home Decor Diary publishes practical home-decor ideas intended to help readers make thoughtful, achievable styling choices. The site is edited by Sergei Cherkasov.

How we create content

Articles are planned around a specific decorating question and are reviewed for clarity, practical fit and safety before publication. We aim to distinguish styling suggestions from instructions that require a qualified professional. Readers should follow product instructions and local rules, particularly for electrical work, fire safety, rentals and structural changes.

Images and examples

Some images on the site are original AI-generated concept illustrations. They are labelled as concept illustrations and are intended to show a mood or arrangement, not to identify a specific product or promise an identical result.

Product references and commercial relationships

Recommendations are evaluated for their relevance to the article. We do not publish a product recommendation until it has passed our editorial checks. If the site uses an affiliate link, we will disclose that relationship clearly near the link and on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

Corrections

We welcome correction requests. If you find an error or need to flag a safety concern, email [email protected] with the page URL and a short explanation. Material corrections will be made as soon as reasonably practical.

Independence

Editorial judgments are made for reader usefulness. A commercial relationship does not guarantee favourable coverage or prevent us from correcting or removing a recommendation.
